       Its that time of the year when we start thinking of the award winners for the regular season . Lets look back at 2008 . Dog House Sportsbar North Stars won first place and the Commissioner's Cup .Randy Dennis from the North Stars was the top pitcher .Corey "Push" Farmer  from the Garson Hounds was the top hitter and Jean Gilles Larocque from the North Stars was the league MVP . Once again and for the third time in three seasons , the North Stars were the league champions for 2008.

        Here are the nominees for this year's top award of league MVP:

     From the league leading Parry Island Hawks there is Al Guenette ,Jim Pawis and Matt Tobobundung

     From the present second place Garson Hounds we have Todd Parsons ` and Robbie edwards

     From the present third place Pickerel River Cardinals we have Jonathan Contin and Curtis Hambly

     From the fourth place Dog House Sportsbar North Stars we have Jordan Dahlvick and Joel Belanger

     From the Sudbury Athletics we have Eric Ace and J P Miron.

                       All team reps will be given a ballot with explanation to vote on before the end of the rain out schedule.

        As for the other defensive and offensive winners , they will be decided within the next five rain out games. Some races are very close.
