Scoring in any sport is  an art and no less is it in fastball. As an example players may get on base for different reasons. If its a bonified base hit then it is marked in that fashion as either a bunt single,a single,a double,a triple or a home run(circle the appropriate number). If its not a base hit the following situations may arrive: player already on first base when ball is hit , the defensive player who is advancing  gets the player out on second thererfore the batter runner does not get a base hit but a fielder's choice marked FC . He may also haver gotten on by means of a fielding error : catcher drops third strike and you reach first base well then in the square you mark a K and circle it since the pitcher still obtained a strike out but the runner is marked on first base with a E2 . If the batter runner gets on with any other fielding error its marked in this fashion as examples E4,E7 ... If a batter runner is called out on a called third strike by the plate umpire you mark it with a K upsidedown. For runs batted in you indicate the number of the positioned player who got the RBI within the diamond. For an inside the park home run indicate INH.The only time that a fly out to any outfielder becomes a sacrifice fly is when a runner scores and the batter runner obtains an RBI .We will discuss other interesting scoring situations next week. Both Rob and Jenndo an excellent job scoring for the league ast both Rick McDonald Memorial Park in Azilda and Lorne Brady Memorial Park in Garson.

Miss Jen Peters and Rob Flemming are to be congrtulated for their excellent scoring this year in both league play ,playoffs and tournaments. They put a great effort into their work and it is well appreciated by the players and both stats men Eric and Roger Legendre.
